Home Care and Hospice

Home care services

Sometimes you heal best at home. In-home care and hospice services at King's Daughters' Health provide patients with a full range of health care needs at home. We have an experienced team of nurses and therapists.

King's Daughters' Home Care offers a team approach to health management. Nurses and therapists work closely with your physician or provider. Social workers help find answers to your questions and assist you during the process of dealing with insurance companies and payment. KDH is a licensed Medicare provider for home care services.

Home Care services include:

  • Skilled nursing care.
  • Physical, occupational and speech therapy.
  • Home Care aides.
  • IV therapies.
  • Medical social workers.
  • Newborn photo therapy.

We may be able to assist you with additional services. Ask when you call 812.801.0671.

Notes: Patients must be home-bound as required by Medicare and most private insurances in order to receive skilled home health care. Medicare requires a face-to-face meeting between the physician and patient 90 days prior to home health admission. Orders for home care services must be signed by a physician.

Hospice is specialized care for patients with a terminal illness.

Hospice services include:

  • Physician medical director.
  • Skilled nursing care.
  • Physical, occupational and speech therapy.
  • Medical social workers.
  • Chaplain / Spiritual counseling.
  • Durable Medical Equipment (DME).
  • Bereavement care.

The approach to care is palliative (pain control and comfort) rather than curative (trying to cure the disease). In most cases, being at home provides the patient with a chance to spend more time with family and share special memories. Learn more about our hospice program by calling 812.801.0671.

We believe hospice is a celebration of life. Each life is a special gift and holds its own unique story. Hospice allows the patient and his or her family a chance to focus on the life they have shared. Hospice volunteers help care for the individual and family. Counselors provide answers and support.
