Summer schedule for Prepared Childbirth Essentials classes
The Mother-Baby team at Norton King's Daughters' Health in Madison will be hosting two Prepared Childbirth Essentials class options this summer:
Prepared Childbirth Essentials
This is a four-week class series covering labor and delivery care, newborn care, cesarean birth, pain management and breastfeeding. The program is $50 for patients delivering at Norton KDH; the fee is $100 for patients delivering at another hospital. Classes are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Mondays from July 3 through July 24. Weekend Prepared Childbirth Essentials
This is a one-day option that covers the same material as Prepared Childbirth Essentials. The class is Saturday, June 3 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Cost is $50 for patients delivering at Norton KDH; the fee is $100 for patients delivering at another hospital. Norton KDH also provides Breast Pumping 101 classes one Monday a month on the Mother-Baby Unit - located on the second floor of the hospital. Summer dates are: June 5, July 3 and August 7. To register, call Carrie Floyd at (812) 801-0991.
