Norton KDH assessing network event
Contact: Dave Ommen
On February 10, the information systems security team at Norton King’s Daughters’ Health began assessing and reviewing the circumstances of what appeared to be a network event. After a thorough investigation, it’s believed the hospital was the subject of an intentional act against its technology system.
In an abundance of caution, email communications and internet service remain disconnected while we evaluate the scope of this event that is isolated to Norton King’s Daughters’ Health. In the meantime, the hospital remains open and we will continue offering care to patients.
While we work through these challenges, we have some additional updates to share with the community. We are postponing all elective cardiology and medical imaging procedures on Monday and Tuesday of next week (February 14 and February 15). Patients may call 812-801-0132 beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday to inquire about appointment options.
We encourage all patients to contact their personal provider's office (physician or nurse practitioner) directly to ask questions about appointments until our system returns. You may find a comprehensive list of phone numbers on our website using the Contact and Locations Tab at www.kdhmadison.org/contact
Our Convenient Care Center in Madison will be open on its regular schedule this weekend, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Additional updates will be provided when available.
