Norton KDH and Madison Art Club to host Meet the Artists event on June 26

Norton King’s Daughters’ Health and the Madison Art Club will host a “Meet the Artists” Reception from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 26 in the Seasons Cafe at Norton KDH in Madison, 1373 East SR 62. Community members are invited.
“The Art Of Healing” exhibits began in 2014, the result of a collaboration between the Madison Art Club and Norton King’s Daughters’ Health. The exhibits bring the healing power of art to the walls of the Seasons Café at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital (NKDH) in Madison, Indiana. Artwork is submitted for final selection by a three-person Selection Committee from NKDH, who chooses 21 pieces for each of the four rotations held annually.
This rotation includes watercolors, oils, acrylics, fiber art, and mixed-media pieces by eight area artists. Prices range from $49 to 750. During the 'Meet the Artists' reception, a 'pop-up' gift boutique will offer smaller items (prints & note cards of local scenes, & small original pieces) created by several of the exhibiting artists. These items will be priced from $1-$100 & will be available only during the reception. All purchases made during the reception are discounted 10%.
Artists with pieces in the new rotation are: Debi Black, Belva Lowry, Melissa Porter, Barbara Tompary, Carole Williams, Lillie Wingham, and Linda Wood.
Artists are invited to submit work for a future rotation by contacting the Madison Art Club at 812.265.2923, artclub.madison.in@gmail.com to request the 'Call For Art' documents. There is no fee to enter, and membership in the Madison Art Club is not required.
The Madison Art Club, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, is in its 73rd year of continuous operation. It is one of the oldest continuously operating art clubs in Indiana. The Club's permanent exhibit gallery and gift shop (Art On Main Gallery & Gift Shop) is located at 309 W Main St, Madison, Indiana.
