Message from Carol Dozier, President/CEO of KDH, regarding COVID-19 preparedness
Message from Carol Dozier
President/CEO of King’s Daughters’ Health
As news regarding the COVID-19 pandemic envelopes us, feeling overwhelmed is natural. Many of our routines changed seemingly overnight, and social media inundates us with images and information at a frenetic pace.
In the midst of the storm, I want you to know that we are prepared.
Since January, we have been gathering data and developing plans related to COVID-19. As a result, we have built a foundation that enables us to move forward with determination and confidence.
Today, we have adequate supplies and staffing to care for our community. At the same time, we are working with state and federal officials to ensure those supplies remain available. It takes teamwork, and we have put together an exceptional team.
Yes, we have made changes to our own routines. In response to the outbreak, we have limited visitation and established guidelines to reduce unnecessary exposure for our patients and team members.
To those who have had an annual wellness exam or surgery postponed, we apologize. We are doing our part to honor established mandates, slow the curve of the coronavirus and maintain resources for those who may require hospitalization.
Ultimately, keeping everyone as safe as possible is a critical priority.
At this time, provider offices (physicians and nurse practitioners) remain open for acute illnesses or other required appointments. If you are concerned about symptoms or exposure to COVID-19, please call your provider.
As additional information becomes available, we will keep you updated. Continue to monitor our Facebook page and Twitter account for the latest news and notes. You can also check our website at www.kdhmadison.org/cvinfo.
Together, we will get through this. Thank you for entrusting us with your care.
