KDH welcomes Alison Simo as Diabetes Care Coordinator

welcomes Alison Simo, MSN, RN, CDE, LDE as its new Diabetes Care Coordinator.

Simo comes to KDH from Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis, where she was actively involved in inpatient diabetes self-care management. She has a passion to improve care, increase knowledge of the nursing team, and positively impact the KDH organization. She is a Master's prepared RN in Adult-Gerontology as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). Her graduate work focused on chronic disease management with a specific focus on diabetes, which is her passion. During her career, she has also educated nurses from the IUPUC-IU School of Nursing, as a visiting lecturer.

Patients will first see Alison on inpatient units as she integrates into her new position. She will eventually provide both inpatient and outpatient education, and group education. To reach Alison Simo, contact her at 812.801.0611. Please leave a message as she may be working with patients.
