The Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit organization committed to driving quality, safety, and transparency in the United States healthcare system, has released new Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades, which assign A, B, C, D, and F letter grades to hospitals nationwide. King’s Daughters' Health was again one of the hospitals to receive an "A" for its commitment to reducing errors, infections, and accidents that can harm patients. It is the eighth consecutive "A" Grade awarded to KDH.

"Our team members are committed to providing exceptional care for every patient every day,” said Natalie Thornsberry, Director of Quality at King’s Daughters’ Health. “Another 'A' Grade from the Leapfrog Group demonstrates the remarkable dedication of our team members.”

Developed under the guidance of a National Expert Panel, the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign grades to more than 2,600 U.S. Hospitals twice a year. The hospital Safety Grade's methodology is peer-reviewed and fully transparent, and the results are free to the public. For additional details, visit

About The Leapfrog Group
Founded in 2000 by large employers and other purchasers, The Leapfrog Group is a national nonprofit organization driving a movement for giant leaps forward in the quality and safety of American health care. The flagship Leapfrog Hospital Survey collects and transparently reports hospital performance, empowering purchasers to find the highestvalue care and giving consumers the lifesaving information they need to make informed decisions. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, Leapfrog’s other main initiative, assigns letter grades to hospitals based on their record of patient safety, helping consumers protect themselves and their families from errors, injuries, accidents, and infections.
