The Jefferson County Health Department, in cooperation with King's Daughters' Health, the Madison Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff has announced its Medication/Syringe Drop Off schedule for 2020.

There will be three Medication/Syringe Drop Off dates:

  • Saturday, April 25
  • Saturday, August 8
  • Saturday, October 17

All three events will run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon) in front of the Medical Office Entrance at the King's Daughters' Health main campus, 1373 East SR 62, Madison. No questions will be asked. Participants may drive up and dispose of expired or unneeded medications (or syringes) without having to exit their vehicles.

Appropriately disposing of unused and/or unneeded medications reduces the risk of these medications being used by someone other than the intended recipients. Prescribed medications can be dangerous to those who do not use them as directed, including children.
