Led by a qualified instructor, KDH hosts a Be Strong program for cancer patients and cancer survivors on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the KDH Rehabilitation Center, 2670 North Michigan Road, Madison. To RSVP for a class, call 812.801.0545.

Activities such as those below can have a therapeutic effect for cancer patients and survivors. After each class, many of the participants meet up for lunch at local restaurants to provide a support atmosphere for everyone.

Activities include:

  • Warm-up
  • Bouncing balls
  • Stretching with elastic bands
  • Deep breathing
  • Short discussion about various topics
  • Posture practice
  • Acupressure: How to feel better
  • Easy Tai Chi
  • Meditation

Be Strong is open to all current and former cancer patients, along with all cancer survivors. You may attend as many or as few of the classes as you wish. We just ask that you call to let someone know you are coming before your first class.
