Are you a candidate for weight loss surgery?
Dr. Schumacher will discuss which patients are appropriate for weight loss surgery at KDH - patients must be ambulatory and within designated guidelines based on weight and overall health. He will also talk about the necessary lifestyle changes for success.
What types of procedures are available?
Dr. Schumacher will discuss the surgical options available at KDH. He will also discuss why each patient will receive a personalized plan that best fits his/her overall needs and health status.
How much does weight loss surgery cost?
Dr. Schumacher will discuss the importance of financial considerations prior to surgery. All patients considering weight loss surgery will go through a financial evaluation to determine insurance coverage and anticipated out-of-pocket costs before a final decision is made.
Dr. David Schumacher is a graduate of The Ohio State University School of Medicine. He completed his Residency at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. He joined KDH from the Kettering Health Network in Kettering, Ohio; leading the Bariatric program. He is Board Certified by the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
