Leadership Team

Day-to-day operations of the Madison hospital, its outpatient centers, and its physician offices are overseen by the administrative team at Norton King’s Daughters’ Health: Chief ExecutiveOfficer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), vice president of patient services, and vice president of physician practice management.

Chief Executive Officer

Carol Dozier was named Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Norton King’s Daughters’ Health in 2013. During her tenure, she has championed improved financial performance, constructed a new state-of-the-art cancer center, brought key physicians to the community and achieved the designation of Top 100 Rural Hospitals in America by Becker’s Hospital Review. Carol, who began her career as a registered nurse, has over 30 years of health care experience. She started her leadership career in Valpariso, IN as vice president for patient support services for Porter Regional Hospital. She then served as CEO at Fleming County Hospital in Flemingsburg, KY before moving to Wyoming to join Vinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie as CEO. During her career, Carol has been responsible for major construction and renovation projects; led financial turnarounds and has improved both the quality and experience of patient care.

Carol serves as chairwoman for the board of the Indiana Hospital Association (IHA) and for Ivy Tech Community College in Madison, IN. During her time in Wyoming, she taught classes at Laramie County Community College. She was named Laramie Chamber Business Person of the Year in 2010 and the Laramie Economic Development Business Person of the Year in 2013. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tu International and has extensive experience in community service organizations.

Carol obtained her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN and her Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, IN. She is married and has five children and six grandchildren.

Chief Financial Officer

John Price was named Chief Financial Officer of Norton King’s Daughters’ Health in 2016. During his tenure, he has led the hospital to successful financial performance with improvements noted in Revenue Cycle Operations and overall financial management. John began his career as an internal auditor for a large health system in North Carolina and has over 30 years of health care experience. He started his leadership career in Rockingham, NC as Chief Financial Officer for Richmond Memorial Hospital. He later led this hospital to a successful merger with FirstHealth of the Carolinas, located in Pinehurst, NC. After the merger, John assumed additional leadership responsibilities, including financial oversight for a new hospital constructed in Raeford, NC.

John is an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and was one of the first 100 members in North Carolina to become a Fellow of HFMA through advanced certification requirements. He has written articles previously for HFMA and has been an active member regarding assistance with exam preparation for members seeking certification. John is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). He has held various board positions during his career, including begin the financial officer for Southern Regional AHEC in Fayetteville, NC.

John obtained his undergraduate degree with a focus in accounting from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. He has two children who both work in the computer science field.

Vice President Provider Practices

Denine Hallgarth was named Vice President of Provider Practices of Norton King’s Daughters’ Health in 2011. During her 37-year career in healthcare, Denine has also served Norton KDH as Director of Physician Practices. In her current role, Denine oversees all aspects of Norton KDH providers, located in seven multi-specialty provider practices located in five counties in Indiana and Kentucky. She also oversees the hospitalist program, medical staff credentialing, financial performance of physician offices and owns a leadership role in physician and provider recruitment and retention. Denine completed the Indiana Hospital & Health Association Management Institute through Indiana University in 1988 and became a Certified Health Care Manager in 2004. Denine is married and lives in Madison, Indiana.

Chief Nursing Officer

Rob Hudson was named Chief Nursing Officer of Norton King’s Daughters’ Health in 2023. Rob has dedicated his career to health care and in service to his country. He spent four years on ROTC and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant. Originally a registered nurse, Rob has held leadership roles with Riley Children’s Hospital and Norton Children’s Hospital, where he became the Director of Patient Care Services. A graduate of Madison Consolidate High School, Rob welcomed the opportunity to return to his home town and join Norton King’s Daughters’ Health. As Chief Nursing Officer, he oversees all aspects of inpatient nursing care at the hospital. Rob is married with two adult sons.
